Matter Level is an independent creative studio producing original artwork, limited editions, publications, handmade objects, and other small-batch goods. Many items are produced in limited quantities, made by hand, or made to order.
Shipping
Order Processing
Orders for in-stock products are typically processed and shipped within 7 business days, unless otherwise noted on the product page.
Business days do not include weekends or U.S. federal holidays.
Processing time is separate from carrier transit time. Delivery estimates shown at checkout begin after an order has shipped and are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly stated otherwise.
Preorders & Made-to-Order Products
Products offered for preorder, made-to-order, or advance release will ship according to the estimated timeline stated on the product page at the time of purchase.
Estimated production and shipping dates are provided in good faith but may change due to production schedules, material availability, fulfillment constraints, carrier delays, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If a significant delay occurs, Matter Level will make reasonable efforts to communicate updated timing using the contact information provided with the order.
By purchasing a preorder or made-to-order product, you acknowledge the estimated production and fulfillment timeline disclosed at the time of purchase. Nothing in this section limits rights available to you under applicable consumer protection laws.
Shipping Rates
Available shipping methods and rates are calculated or displayed at checkout based on factors such as destination, package size, weight, and selected shipping service.
Shipping options may vary depending on the products in your order and your delivery location.
International Shipping
Matter Level may ship to select international destinations.
International customers may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage charges, or other fees imposed by the destination country unless those charges are expressly included or collected at checkout.
These charges are determined by local authorities and are outside Matter Level's control.
International shipments may also experience additional customs or carrier delays.
Shipping Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.
If you notice an error in your shipping information, please contact us as soon as possible at shop@matterlevel.com. We will make reasonable efforts to update the address before shipment, but changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has entered fulfillment or been transferred to a carrier.
Tracking
When tracking is available for your selected shipping service, tracking information will be provided after your order has shipped.
Tracking information may take some time to update after a shipping label has been created.
Lost Packages
If a package appears to be lost in transit, please contact us at shop@matterlevel.com. We will work with the carrier to investigate the shipment and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, refund, or other resolution.
Matter Level is not responsible for packages that have been confirmed as delivered by the carrier but are subsequently lost, stolen, or misplaced, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Delivery Delays
Carrier transit times are estimates and may be affected by weather, customs processing, service disruptions, peak shipping periods, or other circumstances outside Matter Level's control.
We are not responsible for carrier delays, but we will make reasonable efforts to assist with shipping issues when possible.
Returns & Exchanges
Original Artwork, Limited Editions, Publications & Handmade Objects
Due to the limited-edition, handmade, collectible, and often one-of-a-kind nature of these products, all sales are final except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Customers may have statutory rights of return, withdrawal, refund, repair, or replacement that cannot be waived by this policy.
Returns, exchanges, and cancellations are generally not accepted for:
- Original artwork
- Limited editions
- Handmade objects
- Publications and books
- Custom or commissioned work
- Sale items
Apparel & Select Merchandise
Unworn apparel and select merchandise may be eligible for exchange or return within 14 days of delivery.
Items must be:
- Unused and unwashed
- In original condition
- Free of odors, stains, pet hair, or signs of wear
- Returned with original tags and packaging when applicable
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect.
Matter Level reserves the right to deny returns that do not meet these requirements, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Handmade Characteristics
Variations in color, texture, finish, printing, binding, craftsmanship, and other characteristics are inherent to handmade and small-batch production and are not considered defects.
This does not limit your rights if a product is materially different from its description, faulty, or otherwise defective under applicable law.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or if you receive the wrong item, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 7 days of delivery, with photographs of the item and packaging. This helps us document shipping damage and resolve the issue quickly.
We will work with you to repair or replace the item, issue a partial or full refund, or provide another appropriate remedy depending on the circumstances.
The seven-day reporting period does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. Where required by law, including for customers in the European Union, statutory rights relating to faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied goods continue to apply.
